Our Mission

Who We Are
Dedicated to Downriver was founded on a simple belief: when communities come together, incredible things happen.

After decades of community service, fundraising, and organizing events throughout the Downriver region, President Jeremiah “Coach” North recognized the need for an organization focused on bringing people, resources, and opportunities together for the benefit of the entire community. His passion for helping others and his lifelong commitment to community involvement became the foundation for what would eventually become Dedicated to Downriver.

Working alongside community leaders Tim Weinschenker and Albert Frond Jr., Coach North established Dedicated to Downriver as a nonprofit organization committed to supporting community-focused initiatives, strengthening local partnerships, and creating opportunities for residents and organizations across the region.

Officially incorporated on April 28, 2026, Dedicated to Downriver serves as a catalyst for positive change by promoting community events, supporting local organizations, encouraging volunteerism, and fostering collaboration among individuals, businesses, and civic leaders.
